1) Negotiate your auction with a State Licensed auctioneer. Ask to see the State Auctioneer License of the person you are talking with. Do not assume an "auction company" or "auction house" license is an auctioneer's license. IT IS NOT! A person negotiating and/or conducting an auction is required by Indiana law to have an Auctioneer License.
2) Selling real estate in today's market is extremely complex and your property should be sold with a person experienced in the real estate market, preferably a Licensed Real Estate Broker. Always remember not all real estate should be sold at auction and identifying this could save you, the seller, thousands of dollars.
